Encuentran culpable a pareja de mexicanos por tráfico de humanos

A court in the United States has convicted two men over what is said to be the deadliest immigrant-smuggling case in American history.
Nineteen Latin Americans died from heat exhaustion and suffocation last year after being left in the trailer of a truck as temperatures soared.
The two men were found guilty of conspiring to smuggle immigrants inland from the Mexican-US border.
They could face life imprisonment when they are sentenced next year.

«Clearly the jury has done its work,» US attorney Michael Shelby said.
«We will continue our efforts to finish the prosecution of this matter,» he said according to Reuters news agency.
In May 2003, Victor Jesus Rodriguez, 38, and Fredy Giovanni Garcia-Tobar, 25, crammed 74 men, women and children into the back of a truck to ferry them inland from the Mexican border across Texas.
Inside the truck the people began to struggle for air as temperatures rose inside the airless compartment.
They banged on the walls in an effort to attract attention but the truck driver, Tyrone Williams, says it was not until he stopped at a truck stop some 100 miles southwest of Houston that he realised what had happened.
Authorities said the men had died from hypothermia, dehydration and suffocation.
The truck driver who abandoned the immigrants goes on trial in January and faces the death penalty for his part in the crime.
